About
Go2Italy started by being at the right place at the right time. While working as a police officer in 1993, a close friend started an association for Italian American Police Officers and asked me to serve on the Executive Board. Several members and their families turned to me, in part because I spoke fluent Italian, and asked that I take them on a trip to Italy. I turned to Arturo Anzalone, owner of Empire Travel and Vice Consulate of Italy, for assistance. 50 members attended the "Best of Italy."

Soon after our return kept getting calls from various people stating they too wanted to go to Italy. Before you knew, I was on my way back to Italy with another group of 50 people. This trend continued for several years. Mr. Anzalone had reached his eighties and wanted to retire. At that point he made me an offer I couldn't refuse. As result, Irondequoit Travel was created. In 2015, I opened Go2Italy in LeRoy, New York
